Volunteers Required

Do you want to play a vital part in our future success, do you like working with young people, vulnerable people, disabled people in fact like working with people?

Do you like seeing people have fun, do you want to help them have fun and have some fun yourself?

If so in order to provide our cycling sessions and to build on our successes to date we need the following volunteers:

Management Committee*

Help ensure that we continue our growth and look in to new areas of work. Ensure that relevant policies are in place. There is no need to be a cyclist, as a recent none cyclist I can assure you I had forgotten how much fun cycling was until I became involved. Time commitment, attend 6 – 8 meetings per year and take on certain roles (you would choose them)

Cycling Coach*

Qualified or willing to be qualified will take on the responsibility of holding various types of sessions. Due to the nature and sometimes irregular timings of sessions we currently work by circulating the date of a potential session and coaches who can hold them let us know.

Session Assistant

To work with a qualified cycling coach assisting them in various ways, some sessions are in one location so they need not be a cyclist whilst certain sessions are rides and hence an interest in cycling and being able to cycle is a prerequisite.

Fundraising Officer

Without the funds we can not buy bikes, pay for insurances /affiliations / administration / training/volunteer expenses/coaches fees etc. This key role will include writing funding bid to Companies and Charitable Trusts as well as organising fundraising events.

Development Officer

To research new areas of work and network to promote Crank it Up in various sectors, this will include attending meetings and making small presentations to potential user groups.

PR/Media Officer

* These positions will require the volunteer to be CRB checked and attend Child Protection and First Aid training, unless they can provide existing certificates.
